What's it like to work with KVD?

Nick has been a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail is superb and he's exceptionally easy to communicate with. During our time together working on Ball Breakers I've always felt confident that he would land on the right style, regardless of whether or not I knew exactly what I wanted myself. The design of Ball Breakers was a tall task; retro, arcade, "thrower", neon, sci-fi. I gave Nick those five words and he masterfully crafted the UI I had envisioned. 10/10, highly recommend.

Nick was great to work with. He was open for lots of back and forth communication to go over specifics, does high quality work on time for a reasonable price, and is always available for edits and additions. I intend to use him again for my current project and future ones.

Nick Kubash was a positive and eager co-worker who always brought a variety of original visual ideas that more than fulfilled the project’s needs. He had the confidence to explain his choices and the scope of his skills was a huge asset. Whether we required game or website UI, logos, or even concept game art, Nick proved himself inventive and timely. He’s able to adjust to the theme of different products, be they medical, educational, and entertainment applications.

Nick worked on a prototype project at Relic Entertainment with me, as an artist. We were unable to provide him with any baseline to start from, and very little support. Despite these difficult circumstances, he was able to create appropriate character and world art, under a very tight deadline. When his work was shown to the studio, people assumed that Relic had provided Nick and team with art assets as opposed to him creating them from scratch. Nick was very obviously highly engaged in the project and appeared to be an energizing force for the rest of the team. He sought feedback at appropriate times and was able to make adjustments to the direction of his work as needed. All in, working with Nick Kubash on the project was a very positive experience!

We loved working with Nick on our video game Beyond Sol. He is a passionate artist that cares for the work and the project. He went the extra mile for us many times to ensure we were happy with his work, supplying quality concepts at each phase of our project: prototyping, production, and final.
